• Door Kits

From Jason@DIGDIST/BATTLEST/FREEWAY to All on Sunday, December 01, 2013 11:41:00
So i'm getting ready to start writing some door games. I was writing one back in the day called Interplanetary Realms, which was a spin off from Barron Realms Elite. Only it was 32bit and wasn't going to have near the bugs that BRE had, and it was going to be faster with InterBBS.

My question is, what are people using these days for door kits? I want to be able to have my code work on all platforms.. Win32, DOS, and Linux at least. I've come across a couple, but i would like to know what people who have written some doors are actually using.

    Thanks in advance!
    Jason

I'm using OpenDoors 6.21 for a door I've started to write (in C++). It comes with a pre-built DLL for use with Win32 (which Win32 doors would have to include in order to run), but it seems to me it should work with Linux too (perhaps DOS too, but I'm not sure). I have it for download on my BBS if you want to give it a try: ftp://www.digitaldistortionbbs.com/bbs/BBS-PROG/ODOORS62.ZIP

I have some other BBS door development kits available also: ftp://www.digitaldistortionbbs.com/bbs/BBS-PROG/00index.html?$hootlxjz
