    If you don't mind paying a few bucks/month... I use giganews. never had an outage over the past year.

    box as well as on my BBS).

    I don't see why not, since Sync does have its own NNTP service.

    It appears that unless you set a "Newsgroup name" value for an area via scfg, the newsgroup names presented to clients are dynamically generated based on the internal codes of the group and message area. (So if you want, say, alt.bbs.sysop to appear as such for clients, you'd need to set that value for the relevant area.)

    Would be something interesting to try. As long as there is a user
    account associated with the account on the Synchronet side, I don't see
    why it would not work.

    Someone over in Agoranet was interested and I sent him the instructions but nothing came of it. Oh well...
