From Geo@DIGDIST/BATTLEST/FREEWAY to All on Thursday, April 30, 2015 11:40:00
    Hi all,

Its been quite a while since I did any maintenance on my BBS. 8-( Life getting in the way 8-(

I suspect something is amiss with my Syncronet BBS list, it only lists 24 systems

Yet when it sorts it counts around 229 entires.

I re-added the entry for my BBS, (keep forgetting to Validate it). and it is there along
    with the other 23 systems.

When I logged on to Digital Distraction it was not listed however?

How many active systems do you guy's see?

For some reason I had SYNCDATA in both my Fido config and DOVE-net configs, but I have now removed the
    Fido one.

Is there som way I can tell sbl to clear its data and rescan SYNCDATA for active systems?

I ran the sbl maint script, but I still only see 24 entries?

    Thanks for any advice. 8-)

If you delete or rename your sbl.dab file, that will "clear its data", but also
any locally-created entries. If you delete data/subs/syncdata.sbl, then the next smb2sbl run will rescan the entire SYNCDATA sub-board for BBS entries.

I ran the sbl maint script, but I still only see 24 entries?

How many messages are in your SYNCDATA sub-board? Are they current (e.g. what's
the date of the last "SBL" message posted)?

    Hi DM,

    Thanks for the reply.

Yep tried all that, I now show only 16 entries in the sbl. Surely we have more than that? 8-)

The most recent is msg 25 about THE TARDIS BBS posted today.

Do you think I should log in to VERT and reset the QWK scan of my SYNCDATA to something low?

    chksmb passes ok too.

You only have 25 messages in SYNCDATA? Something seems off there. What do you have your max msgs set for that sub? You should have hundreds or thousands of messages in SYNCDATA by now.

    Hi DM

Yep Scan is enabled on VERT.

    Latest msg is today.

I just set the new msg scan pointer on VERT to -1000 msgs and did a QWK run. The SBL now shows 58 Systems, is that ~ correct?

For some reason Tardis is in tere multiple times though.

Prehaps I should del the sub and clear the sbl and then reset the scan pointer on VERT?

Sounds about right. I think I have 5000 messages in that area on Vertrauen, so it's possible you're missing some older ones.

For some reason Tardis is in tere multiple times though.

Maybe it was created on multiple systems.

Prehaps I should del the sub and clear the sbl and then reset the scan pointer on VERT?

Sure. Over time, your database should become current and match most others that
have their settings set the same (e.g. days before deletion of unvalidated entries).
