I love working with these older packages, but always want to register
them. I would be happy to pay the original programmer, but can rarely
find any way to even see if they are still around to do so.

you should just get bbs stuff off of bbses. not where dipshit jason scott uploads it to.

they put some of my sites on the internet archive. not a cache, they made a pack. i told them to take that shit down.
