i'm sure a central america location is fine when it's just a tourist area, just like mexico (tourist traps are ran by the cartels). I'd still rather go someplace else. Kidnappings are big. A woman i know had a buddy who went off on his own down there looking for drugs and ended up dead. There was no justice for his death.

Without a different SIM card, your phone might not work in Canada, either.
Some US carriers have "international travel" plans that you can expect to pay
a fee for (and expect higher rates on calls), while others do not.

like i said before, it might be all in your head.

for decades, cigar experts have said a lot of cuban cigars have dropped in quality for several reasons. I think part of it is over manufacturing of cigars and planting tobacco in poor areas. for some time they dropped some traditional methods in their processes so they can output more and do it a lot cheaper. There's even been issues apparently with overfilling of cigars.

I'm not a cigar expert;and i've quit smoking everything since i was 28, but I've heard and read about cuban cigar issues for quite some time.

Interesting. I don't normally smoke. Throat cancer a couple years ago solved my 50 year smoking habit. I STILL get a few smaller cigars when I go to Cuba each year, so I can have a 'smoke' with my Ron (rum) down by the ocean in the evening. Strange huh?
