Congratulations!
A petless home is a soul-less home.
Have fun with and take care of them!
Cats are really nice, we also have two, but older ones (8+9 years) from a couple where one of them was allergic and nothing helped. They are really sw and we love them :)
Before them, we had one from the cat shelter - she taught me how to respect handle cats. At first, she was quite a beast, but then we arranged with each other and after a while, we trusted each other.
I've loved cats since I was a very young kid. They love me, too. You just gotta remember, the cat is the boss, and you don't pick the cat, the cat picks you. ;)
I wanted to get one from a shelter this time around; I've taken in strays and abused ones before in the past, but with my son & I both being out of the house for up to 8 hours a day now at least 2-3 days a week my plans kind of changed... I have a friend who owns a farm and when I saw he was getting rid of twin boys I just had to take them. That way they won't get too lonely without any people around here during the day once in awhile. :)

Cool :) Cats (and pets in general are awesome). My ex wife and I had 2 cat and she took one with her when we got divorced. I miss the other cat, and I think the one I kept misses the other cat too..

Exactly! :) And they let you live in their house/apartment ;-)
That's good that you saved them!
We also thought that this time we take 2 cats, as the last one seems to alwa have been a "single cat", as she could not have another cat around - we trie it for ~2 weeks, the older one did not accept the new one...
But we found out that they accept each other but are not really big friends, they don't seem to play or cuddle much with each other.
Well, we all are just humans :)

Well, we have a bearded dragon (have for a couple of years now), but yea it's not exactly the same. ;)
I do agree completely.
But yeah, pets are great. Especially the ones that'll come and sleep with you and stuff. The bearded dragon that we've got is pretty damn tame and friendly (never knew a reptile could be like that), too, but you can't really lay down with him and take a nap (though he'll lay down on you and take a nap whenever he wants). It's nice to have mammals around. :)

I have six dogs and two horses here. I just cannot get enough pets in my lif Too bad I have no time for more :-)
My cat usually sleeps on the bed with me - Sometimes right next to my head/back. But if I have a visitor over, often she'll stay in her own space for a little while and might take a couple days before she'll sleep on the b again.
kittie repellent spray that I've gotten doesn't seem to be doing any good, I'm not really coming up with any solutions to leaving my bedroom door ope that they can wander in as they like. :(

We got one of those "Sssssssscat" motion sensor cans of compressed air. It seems to work quite well. It also scares the hell out of me from time to time.
That said she sometimes waits for me to sit down in the barn's porche and ta her nap close to me while I have a can of Pepsi.

I've used one of those on the kitchen counter to train my cats not to jump up there. It could probably even be useful to have more than one of those pointed in different places in case a cat would go to different parts of

Another thing you can try is putting tin foil on the surface of the table, c will jump up & then freak out and jump right down.

That is a commendable amount, indeed. I've never been too much of a dog person, myself, but I think that's more just because I've always been in ver small apartments. If I had the space I know I'd enjoy a nice big puppy. :)
I've always wondered what it would be like to have horses around...
Some dogs you can have in an appartment no problem. A lot of people thinks you can only fit a small dog into an appartment and that you cannot have a big dog in one, but that is false. When I was a kid I lived in one and we had a big big Rottweiler and a German Shepherd.
The trick is that the dog has to like appartment life. My Rottweiler's
