• Gas back up over $3/gal

From Mike Powell@1:2320/105 to KURT WEISKE on Sunday, May 11, 2025 16:37:00
Gas stations are now paying us to take gas off their hands, and over
450 countries are calling Trump non-stop ready to make a deal over
tarriffs! What a great time to be an American!

Gas here (and in Evansville and Louisville) is getting back near its
pandemic pricing. The drop in prices seen from last year through ~January
of this year has been completely wiped out.

I am sure it is worse in California.

But dumbasses say that "everything is working."

I just bought a gas engine car (a hybrid, actually). I'm no longer
strictly working from home and have a 150 mile round-trip commute
2x/week. It's a long trek in my subcompact electric car with no spare
tire and crazy SUV drivers. I'm feeling the pain. $5.09/gallon for my
    first tank.

    At least I'm getting 43 mpg... :)

The EV charging infrastructure isn't ready for prime-time, unless you
drive a Tesla. I'd estimate that close to half of the chargers I've
tried have been out of service, failed to initiate charging or otherwise
    failed to charge.

    Ouch. That is not good!
