That is the word thus far. So far the border is still closed and
given that the numbers are getting worse on that side of the fence it surprises nobody on this side of the fence.

I'll admit our overall numbers, particularly on your side of the
continent are pretty bad... Here in NYS, though, our numbers are pretty
good and getting better..... :)

there were a lot of fireworks (legal, semi-legal and illegal)
going off in our neighborhood all day and into the night of the
4th... noisy, and some rather pretty....

Very quiet here on both the 1st and 4th as far as fireworks and/or fireworks were concerned.

We still are getting the occasional burst thereof....

Could be. As far as this part of the Island I still haven't heard of one confirmed case. :::knock on wood:::

Same with everyone I've talked to although there was one neighbour who was self isolating just in case he had it, which it turned out he didn't. That was back in March-ish.

Still very quiet in this neck of the woods ... errrrr ... a little too quiet?
