Yes, that was suppose to be Astronomy. How did I not catch that one? It's
been corrected. We could discuss Astrology in there if you'd like. ;)

    Thank you.

It went a long time unnoticed. :( I have to always double-check my
memory when someone asks me for books on astrology or astronomy in
    my shop.

One trick I use to help me differentiate between the two is to
remember that "L" = lies, and "N" = naming ;) Thus, astrology is
the fake version of the stars, and astronomy is busy with naming the
    stars.

I know that -ology is "the study of", (which BOTH astrology and
astronomy comprises of) but in this case I limit the L & N rule to
    those two -ogy 'es.

Elsewhere I have read that astrology is supposed to have given birth
    to astronomy.

NEW! EARTH (Earth Sciences) NEW! News posts and discussions related to any topic related to Earth Science.

Dan Richter -- there's a name from wayyy back!

    How you been?

I've recently found my way back to Fidonet.

Not much discussion going on in this EARTH echo, eh?

As I recall, you are a geologist, correct?

I think I still have the aryicle you posted that defined how a Biblically- described global flood's weight would affect the mantle & what evidences there'd necessarily be.

I really enjoyed the read! I love reading well-thought out & evidenced treatises on most any topic. . .

I've been more into Quantum Physics of late -- just reading & thinking. . .

I had a link for a site that seatched the globe for theses on any topic, but lost it. . .

It was a fun way to spend a day online!
