I have working setup under DOS (free dos) (binkd, tcp/ip). Playing with FrontDoor 24.01.
Heard about some existing solution how to combine FD with binkstyle.
It is pretty easy with FD's static queue. I have set up HPT so that
all mail to JoHo is stored to a filebox (a directory) where FD can
send everything out.
Inbound is easy. Just set up the directory for inbound mail as usual.

Checking HPT (some older version, but not so old). Can not find option
to separate outbound based on address/area. Did you mean to have for example crashmail/fmail setup for the rest and HPT only for JoHo?
This was my original idea, to have NETMAIL area for specific people (visible in Golded, but separated in Tosser/Packer configs). This definitelly separates callers (e.g. in that case if Joho calls via
binkd - gets nothing). Until is incorporated into FD, understand there
is no better solution.
I don't have fmail or crashmail. I run HPT as a main tosser in my OS/2 with BSO, and all I need to setup in HPT is this:
