    I often see that when people cut and paste from the www into Fidonet... I can't help noticing that ever so often the cut and paster resides in Z1...

    Yes, I forgot to replace the quote's apostrophe with my system's apostrophe... bummer.

    Sorry for my duplicate report of this issue.

    Perhaps you could change the default charset value used by your software or use software that recognizes UTF-8 and automatically uses the correct CHRS kludge value?
