Yes sirree, we love our guns.
Its what America was found under.
A well-regulated militia. That can be called out in times of need
or crisis. Where were they when those school kids needed them most?
Its not the gun, its the asshats who kill people.
Banning assault rifles such as the AR-15 that was used to kill all
those kiddies would be a start. Making such easy access to get those
kinds of weapons is what enabled that 18-year-old high school dropout
to do what he did.
Chicago, DC, LA have shootings daily, but its only a wet dream for progressives when events like this happen.
50 MAGA US Senators (+1 Democrat from Arizona) are blocking any
attempts to pass gun control legislation of any kind. That is the
problem. Such failure to reign in gun manufacturers from making
and selling such weapons (which serve no purpose other than killing
people), such mass shootings will continue to occur.
We need to make it harder for 18-20 year olds to attain firearms.
And deny teenagers the love of hunting with their parent(s)?
I used to go duck hunting when I was a kid. Also deer hunting.
As well as squirrel hunting. I wasn't even 18 at the time.
The minimum age for buying a handgun has been raised to age 21,
rather than 18. But most folks never needed a minimum age to hunt
with a shotgun, or even use a rifle such as a .22 calibre.
Sure, mental patients should be kept from buying or using guns.
But with no background checks, and the ease in which one can buy
guns at gun shows, makes such efforts meaningless.
Have red flag laws for people under 21 who abuse firearms or make direct threats against employers or schools.
The 18-year-old high school drop-out had no known mental issues,
and no criminal record. No red flags to speak of. And yet the governor
of Texas said the reason why the massacre happened was because the
guy was nuts - not because he used an AR-15 with ammo all purchased
legally.
We need increased mental health spending to deal with these powder kegs.
None of that would have stopped that 18-year-old kid from doing his
thing, as nobody even had a clue he was nuts. With no history of mental illness, and no criminal record, why should anybody have been worried?
Most of these shootings are done by troubled young men.
Armed with assault weapons and ammo, purchased legally. Nobody
knew they were nuts, including the nutcase, until they did their
dirty deeds. Rewarding gun manufacturers by preventing gun control
legislation from being passed is not a solution to end the carnage.
The goal is to stop the troubled young men, not ruin it for the rest of the
nation.
Better to ban assualt weapons, such as the AR-15, from being sold.
The purpose of those weapons is not hunting, but to kill people.
As shown by that 18-year-old kid, such weapons are very easy to use.
Its the same thing as abortion, its not going to stop.
Oh, that's another one. Let's put women who have a miscarriage
in jail. After all, abortion is murder. And those baby killers must
be punished.
Women will be so desperate they will use wire hangers (stupid, but they will

How in heaven's blazes is a woman supposed to aim a loaded gun
at her pussy and be expected to pull the trigger?
The call to ban guns, only fuels the sale of more guns and ammo.
Japan banned guns in the 19th century. Shoguns ruled. Then was
later invaded by gaijin. Then shoguns got smart and brought guns
back. We all know what happened next - Pearl Harbor.
