But apparently, there are two ways to post messages with
fido editors. One of them affords "free-flow", auto-adjusts
while typing it in and retains the free-flow after posting. But
some editors appear to free-flow (like OpenXP), but when the
message is posted there are CRs at the end of those lines.
Have you taken a message that you've written in OpenXP and
exported it to a plain text ASCII program to check that?

Just checking line endings for OD 0A or some such thing. This
line is written in a continous format and OpenXP auto-wraps the
text visually based on the line-length that I have specified. If
there are multiple OD OA 's in *this* paragraph, then I can be
assured that OpenXP does indeed add them before saving the
message.
