Hello Night!
Monday February 13 2023 12:38, you wrote to me:
Max v3.03 and possibly 3.04 are around for OS/2 including the
sources.
I think the last one I used was 03 a few months before
I have the 3.03 source code but it just will not compile on ANY
platform .. I followed the instructions to try to compile on Win2K and
Linux and both choke on squish .. 3.01 is the last complete OS/2
version that I have been able to find unless you can point me in a
different direction for the binaries
Just grabbed 3.03 and yes does report some issues under Linux i.e., -lcompat and where definitions declared not used and the reverse but if I had a bit more
time can I think be resolved and these for both max and squish.
Just had a look at 3.02 but that assumes you are using Windows.
So for Linux 3.03 is the way to go and resolve the issues to get a good build.
I have had similar to get other old code to work such as golded although never managed it (at least so far) for running on a Raspberry Pi 4 but ok for a 3B+. No have not figured out that one but will need to allocate some time resources to it in the next few weeks.
It helps if you are a programmer and for non *nix platforms to install the open
Watcom C compiler. I think it is around for Linux but have now run out of time.
