Former railroad stations around here have been repurposed for other things...

We have two here, the former B&O station and the the former C&O station.
When they merged in the '50s the B&O building was abandoned. A smallish brick building, with the former storage sheds and all still there. I.e, B&O just locked the doors and walked away.
The C&O is a huge place since there lots of RR offices there.
That was closed in the 70s/80s and a little shed like office built along
the tracks a block or so away. I think that is even now closed with most tickets sold online.
Both still have tracks there, the old C&O is along the mainline.
The B&O was eventually brought and turned into a railroad themed
restaurant and the freight sheds into different small businesses.
The visitors bureau has an office there now. I pity the poor tourist
    trying to find the place.
There is a steam engine and Pullman car there but slowly turning to
    rust.

    Joe,

We have two here, the former B&O station and the the former C&O
    station.

The station in Charlottesville, Virginia (I think) is in the former
Railway Express Agency office. It connects with both Amtrak's Cardinal
and Amtrak's Crescent. But, since I've given up on all train travel,
due to health and finances, I hardly keep up with that anymore.

The visitors bureau has an office there now. I pity the poor
tourist trying to find the place.

Sounds like a contradiction in terms.

There is a steam engine and Pullman car there but slowly turning to rust.

Sadly, that's the same thing in so many areas. COVID-19 basicaly shut
down the Arkansas Railroad Museum, and all the stuff there now is just
    wasting away.
