My way to know is if someone on that board posts in that echo.

I mean, a way for a newbie exploring possible echos to know
what boards carry it in the first place.

Something akin to FILEFIND for files that probes participating
BBSes, but instead ECHOFIND for echos and reports which BBSes
carry a specific echo.

The GT Power Network (which used proprietary networking software) had a
third party add on that would report stats back to the NEC, who would
compile them once a month and distribute them. It showed which boards
carried which echoes, although I do not believe it descerned between
"carried publicly" vs. skip/passthru.

Not many I presume, but I do peruse from time to time out of curiosity. I'm guessing I'm the only Australian here? Perhaps the only from the Southern Hemisphere?

My memory fails to recall if anyone South of 0 Degrees has weitten in FIDO Memories.
This BBS has other BBS Networks here, FSX Net has folks from Australia and New Zealand writting in its echoes

There are a few Australians and New Zealanders on FSX Net, but FidoNet to me had a strong American bent to it. I've read posts
here and there, but it was quite often reminiscing of things specific to America, products, restaurants, shows or other things that
we just don't have in Australia.

I was confused a little bit when reading a Wikipedia article titled 1999 Sydney hailstorm .
A image on the page showed hailstones and a Tape Measure streached out over some of the larger ones.

The reading on theTape Blade was in Inches.
I wondered why Inches instead of Centimeters.

I reside in the USA and don't use the Metric System.
Years ago when I used Kodak Chemicals I remember seeing 68 degrees F / 20 degrees C on the chemical(s) instruction sheet and memorized that conversion when I was 13 years old.

Just wondering about that image made Me think of asking You about it.

As much as I searched through Firefox History on this phone I ain't found it yet i there
And recent searches with DuckDuckGo hasn't shown it to me either.

I did see it shortly after I got this cellphone and thought it could be used in the place where the old DSL Modem connected to the Cat-5 output jack on my wired router. That's Ed's BIG IDEA!

I recall writting Posts about not desiring to use Wi-Fi so I won't do that again

A REAL Keyboard to Me is the ones I use on Desktop and Notebook Computers.

I did think of going back to Aldi Grocery to buy the BT Keyboard I saw there, butthere wasn't any of them when I went back to get one.
