  • Connection lost with Binkp

    Hello,

    This system is working as a Hub for some other BBSs.

    However, one system that is running Mystic A48 (Hub is running A47) is able to send messages, but all packages I am sending to it are failing under "Connection Timeout".

    Anything that I should try on it?

    Are you using the correct hostname and port? If so there is nothing more you can do.

    Try telneting to the hostname from the command line and see if that works..

    telnet hostname 24554

    If they can send/connect to you but you're not able to send/connect to them, have them make sure they've forwarded/opened port 24554 on their router.

    You can use a tool like:
    https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

    To test to make sure it's open to the public internet.

    Also make sure they've actually turned on the binkp server by going running:

    mystic -cfg


    And going to:

    Server
    Configure Servers
    BINKP
    Set Active to Yes
