• Mass upload after deletion finds already existing files?

    From Björn Wiberg@2:201/137 to g00r00 on Wednesday, August 04, 2021 21:27:30
    Hello g00r00!

I noticed that if I first delete a file from a file base, e.g.:

    ° Editing Uploads 9 of 9
    ° Path /mnt/bbs/mystic/files/local/uploads/

    1) f.arc

    2) File Size 70 bytes 3) Uploader Zip
    4) File Date 08/04/21 5) Downloads 0
    6) Status Normal
    !) Description Test

    (cut)

    ([) Previous (]) Next (D) Delete (I) Import DIZ (U) Update DIZ (M) Move (V) View Archive (H) Hatch (E) Mail Uploader (Q) Quit: D

Delete this entry? Yes No (Yes selected)
Delete /mnt/bbs/mystic/files/local/uploads/f.arc? Yes No (Yes selected)

    ° Editing Uploads 9 of 9
    ° Path /mnt/bbs/mystic/files/local/uploads/

    1) f.arc

    2) File Size 70 bytes 3) Uploader Zip
    4) File Date 08/04/21 5) Downloads 0
    6) Status DELETED
    !) Description Test

    (cut)

    ([) Previous (]) Next (D) Delete (I) Import DIZ (U) Update DIZ (M) Move (V) View Archive (H) Hatch (E) Mail Uploader (Q) Quit: Q

    (exiting file listing with Esc)

...and then perform a mass upload (/M):

Upload files in all directories? Yes No (No selected)

    ° Mass Upload

    Processing: Uploads...

    File gwo0.11-sample-win32.lzh
    Upload? (Y)es (N)o (A)ll (G)lobal All (S)kip Area (Q)uit: Q

...it finds another, already (in the file listing) existing file and wants to add it again!

I of course quit with Q:

    Added 0 files

But *if* I let it add it:

    ° Mass Upload

    Processing: Uploads...

    File gwo0.11-sample-win32.lzh
    Upload? (Y)es (N)o (A)ll (G)lobal All (S)kip Area (Q)uit: Y

Enter description. Max 99 line(s). Blank line ends.
    01: Test 2
    02:

    Added 1 files

    ...the file listing now shows:

    ÚÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ¿ ³ ± File Listing 00 Uploads ³ ÀÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÙ
    01 gwo0.11-sample-win32.lha 821KB 08/04/21
    Test
    À Uploader: Zip
    (cut)

(hitting Page Down to go to the bottom)

    03 gwo0.11-sample-win32.lzh 821KB 08/04/21
    Test 2
    À Uploader: Zip

...so I get duplicate entries (although I chose a different Description for the "new" one to be able to distinguish it).

Have you noticed anything similar on your installation?
I'm not sure if it could be the long filename causing any of this...

If I perform a mutil PackFileBases after the deletion, a subsequent mass upload (correctly) does not find anything "new".

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards

You have two files here. One is .lzh and one is .lha so Mystic see them as two different files. Could that be the issue here?

Sorry for the "typo" -- I had quoted the wrong "first" file (.lha instead of .lzh).

Please see my follow-up to that message -- there are indeed two .lzh files (with the same name) in the file listing.

(And one .lha file, which was not affected by this.)

    Best regards
