    Have you had occassion to use this feature:

    I don't quite understand WHY we would need this. At first I
    thought it was describing a kind of carbon-copy action. But
    this is an actual change of course for messages to take?

    think moderated newsgroups...

    At first I thought it was describing a kind of
    carbon-copy action. But this is an actual change of
    course for messages to take?

    in moderated newsgroups, all posts go directly to the moderators' email address(es) so they can approve (or not) the message... if they approve it, a specific control line is added to the message and it is then forwarded into
    the newsgroup as an approved message... messages not approved do not appear in the group at all...

    Yes, it looks that way but what the implications would be is anyone's
    guess and I'm certainly not going to play about with it. You can, if you
    like though :-)))
