• Trump tells the truth

In all of Trump's lies about election fraud, there is one instance when he often tells the truth, which I find very interesting.

When he brags about how many votes he received in the 2020 election, he
usually doesn't say, "I got more votes than anybody ever."

He usually doesn't say, "I got more votes than any candidate ever."

What he usually says is, "I got more votes than any sitting president."

And he's absolutely right. He is absolutely telling the truth there. It's a very interesting distinction, though, and specifically does not preclude
Biden getting more votes than Trump.

I wonder why he prefers that choice of words, when everywhere else he claims
to have won the election over Biden.

    Jeff.

    Hello Jeff,

In all of Trump's lies about election fraud, there is one instance when he often tells the truth, which I find very interesting.

When he brags about how many votes he received in the 2020 election, he usually doesn't say, "I got more votes than anybody ever."

He usually doesn't say, "I got more votes than any candidate ever."

What he usually says is, "I got more votes than any sitting president."

And he's absolutely right. He is absolutely telling the truth there.

It is also a very misleading statement. In which case, he is not
    exactly being truthful. About anything.

It's a very interesting distinction, though, and specifically does not preclude Biden getting more votes than Trump.

Trump got 10 million votes less than his opponents.
Biden alone got 7 million votes more than Trump.
And the electoral vote count was not even close.

I wonder why he prefers that choice of words, when everywhere else he claims
to have won the election over Biden.

He's a loser. What else would you expect him to say?

Even his idea of gaming the system by making it harder for people
to vote is a losing game, as such efforts do not help Republicans.
But you try telling him that.
