    To settle a lawsuit. The lawsuit is not over temporary separations for the safety of children; it is over permanent separation of families. The Trump administration sent the children off to live with other families and lost
    track of them. Trump never had any intention of reuniting them, because this policy was intended as a warning to others.

    Or, wecould just let them win the lawsuit, since our own DOJ Inspector General's report said that what Trump did was over the line.

    It's different when the policy is lauded as a deterrent to future immigrants and open-ended. If a police department treated a child involved with a parents' crime by subjecting them to conditions similar to what border crossing children experience, heads would roll.

    That all seems correct, but even if they just succeed in the redistricting, they will feel like it was worth it.

    I predict that the puppeteers will be disappointed when they discover that illegals won't comply with the census bureau.

    We need to warn the illegals that "the census workers are trying to get you deported, so just refuse to fill out their forms, and you'll be ok."
