As we sat talking, we saw two guys running diagonally across the
intersection then saw 2 guys in red berets and GA shirts chasing them.

90 seconds later, see 2 GA running the opposite direction chased by a dozen men.

LOL, I think there were some comedy routines based on similar stories.

They didn't last very long out here; they could have done more just coordinating with SFPD instead of trying to be their own police force.

The stories we seemed to hear about them as kids was more along the lines
of warding off purse snatchers and other things that would fall more under "good samaritan" than "their own police force." If they changed to the
latter, they likely were punching above their weight.
