    Democrat NY governor Kathy Hochul has announced her "Winter Surge Plan 2.0,"
    as she calls it, for "combating covid."

    Winter Surge Plan 2.0 consists of:

    Telling people to get tested
    (Sounds good! But sounds familiar!)

    Telling people to wear masks
    (Hmm, masks? Like those thingys with the straps? Never heard of that before!)

    Telling people to "prevent serious illness and deaths"
    (Hey now! That's a nifty idea! Too bad there's no plan to make it happen!)

    Increasing access to vaccines
    (Apparently there's been an access issue, but nah, there's no access issue.)

    In reality, her "plan" is a generic re-write of stuff we've already been
    doing. She may as well add "handwashing" and "wear eye protection" to her brainless list of yesteryears' advice.

    She recently resumed a statewide indoor mask mandate. That will probably lower case #s, but the media will surely try to credit a reduction in case #s from "Kathy Hochul's GENIUS Winter Surge 2.0 Plan!"

    I think they are the things that over 150 peer reviewed studies show don't work to reduce the spread of viruses.

    These fake precautions could end up making real case #s even worse.

    I wrote this to Gov Hochul yesterday:

    "Your 30 day mask mandate should be indefinite. You're going to make a lot of people think that the pandemic is over in 30 days."

    Obviously there are other problems with her 30 day-logic too, but when
    speaking to Democrats, it's best to use small words and short sentences.
