• Conservative riding association wants early leadership review, as poll

From Erich B.@1:103/705 to All on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 11:08:28
Since his party’s September election loss, Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole has faced a steady drip of criticism. But his opponents have not been able to convince party brass to move up the date for the August, 2023, leadership review.

What does the "Conservative riding association" ride?

    Horses? Motorcycles? Public transportation?

IIRC, a riding is like a district, or administrative area, that has a
    local government.

So a Conservative riding association would be like a group of conservative mayors or state representatives, and it sounds like someone is questioning
its leadership due to a poor showing at a previous election.

The party constitution has the next opportunity to vote for a leadership review at the next policy convention. That's Aug 2023. There would need to be a significant number of EDA's (Electoral District Association, don't know what the US equivalant would be but each EDA corresponds to where a federal Member of Parliament would come from; each party would have an EDA in each "riding") calling for this to get the party brass to consider it.
