The Scripps Spelling Bee. An American Institution.
The Finals are set. 12 children will be vying for the grand prize.
Tomorrow night. An all Indian final. Not a single white face among
them. Who will win? Does it even matter? Those Indian kids are way
too smart for American kids to be able to compete against. Maybe
if American kids painted their faces brown they would have a chance.
But those spelling judges would never allow that ...
