• Trump > Trudeau

From Mike Powell@1:2320/105 to AARON THOMAS on Sunday, December 20, 2020 11:55:00
How hard is it to convince weak-minded people that the pandemic happened because of Trump? Not very!

He closed our borders before Trudeau closed Canada's.

Trumps response was weak. He doesn't seem to have any kind of plan to slow the >pread. Just open the country and open the schools in spite of the number of new
    cases and deaths.

Trump closed our borders to peoples coming from the affected area of China
at a time when Trudeau didn't think it was necessary and didn't want to
    hurt his best friend's feelings.

It is funny you mention schools, too. Biden's 100 day COVID plan includes a mask mandate and other things that might slow the virus (all things already being done), but also includes OPENING schools... because, you know, little kids can't pass it to compromised adults.

I know... in the Book of Al, if Trudeau or a US Democrat thinks it is a
good idea, that makes it so.

The Canadian border should be secured too - with a wall. I've driven up there a few times, and the border consists of thousands of miles of forest. (Not that I drove thousands) We love our peaceful Canadian neighbors & everything, but we can't just pretend that the forest acts as a border wall.

It's pretty careless. Our dollar is worth like 20 cents more than theirs; isn't the open border a bad idea for tax-evasion, among other things?

I would have closed the border too, if it was my decision to make but more is/was needed.

We have not yet rounded the corner on the pandemic.

I don't know where you get this idea that China is Trudeau's best friend. Your gossiping now.

You do remember what Rocky Balboa did to that Russian boxer?
That is how US Presidents should treat the Russian leader when
he misbehaves. Such as that hacking job he did on us.

Barack Obama imposed sanctions on Russia when Putin and his gang
invaded a part of Ukraine and illegally annexed that portion (Crimea)
as part of Russia. Your orange god wanted to lift those sanctions
and invite the Russian bad boy back into the G-7.

IOW, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin are best buds. I think the
two of them should get married. Putin is single, his wife having
left him. And Melania is not too happy at the moment. Maybe they
could be a threesome. That would really spice things up.

One of the main reasons no wall is needed on the Canadian border is the remoteness of much of it along the northern western states. Illegals have a hand full making it to our southern border and getting across. The northern border is even worse.

Not only is it remote and difficult to navigate, there are also wild dangerous animals up there; bears, mountain lions. Not to mention extreme cold weather which most people born and raised below the southern border are not used to.

A person who was born and raised in an area where they are used to the snakes and scorpions and such, aren't ready to deal with a lion or bear. Or the freezing weather.

I think you're underestimating it. The cold, yea, but it can be freezing cold at the Mexico border too, especially around February. There are black bears that roam the deserts around the Mexican border too, and mountain lions, coyotes, and other dangerous animals. About the same as Candada minus the polar bears & brown bears. Plus they have all the rival cartels down there.

The terrain around the US/Canada border isn't really that bad. We don't have Canadians desperately trying to illegally enter, but desperate criminals who see the land the way I do would probably prefer to enter through Canada
rather than Mexico. And the big dummies up in the northern states, all they know is that "Mexicans are hard workers and Trump is racist and we need them to pick fruit."
