Sometimes the articles on foxnews.com get stale, so I drift over to cnn.com once in a while for nostalgia.

Prior to 2016, I used to go to CNN for all my news. Anything they said on there, I took it as "news" and for the most part I believed them.

    Here's something unbelievable though:

    https://www.cnn.com/2020/12/26/politics/unemployment-benefits-stimulus-relief- bill/index.html

The author's focus is on "Trump is hurting unemployed Americans." They're complaining about Trump not signing the relief bill. But this article contains no information about Trump's refusal. They're not telling the herd about Trump having a problem with billions going to foreign countries while $600 checks are planned for Americans.

The article also fails to mention that Democrat house members (some not all) are siding with Trump on this, including the lovely Ilhan Omar.

I'm left to assume that Ilhan Omar and these other "freshmen" don't have the elite connections that the old fogies do. They don't stand to profit from the mismanagement of taypayer funds. I appreciate them for that quality.

Apparently CNN *IS* part of the elite Democrat group that stands to profit from our squandered tax money. That's no surprise. But I feel bad for those freshmen who aren't in the clique that makes billions the sleazy way. They were obviously cut out of the deal.

Unless I have missed something, Omar, Pelosi, and AOC are all in agreement
with Trump that the stimulus check needs to be higher, not that he should
not sign because there is money going to foreign countries.

I agree there. AOC will have trouble having any future in the Democratic
Party until several of the oldies she has offended have passed on.

As for CNN (and MSNBC and FOX), they are not really new channels any more.
They are infotainment channels. They tell everyone what they think will
keep people watching their stations to keep ad revenue flowing in. They stopped being news channels when they started trying to compete with the Internet.

I didn't know Pelosi was one of the ones in favor of bigger checks. But you made a good point though - that they aren't complaining about the fat in the bill, and they're just open to fattening it even more.

Google recently (within the last few years) began an anti-misinformation initiative. It's mostly aimed at conservatives, but they are cracking down (somewhat) on websites which produce news that's not what Google considers "fact-based." However, they have not taken aim at CNN and or FOX; those 2 still seem to have no problem reaching their audiences through Google searches.

(They're full of it. Misinformation is fine as long as it elects who they want elected.)
