    To me, a real ceremony doesn't involve Hollywood entertainment. It is a Presidential Inaguration, not the Super Bowl or some awards ceremony.

    Get someone talented, local, mostly non-famous person, whose dream it would be to sing the National Anthem at such an event (regardless of whose being
    sworn in), and be done with it. Or a group of first responders.

    They preferred to feature guests based on qualification rather than skin
    color. (At the Republican Convention.)

    In this year's elections, I'm expecting the Republicans to use equal force
    when it comes to dirty tricks. I'm in favor of stooping to Democrat levels to get some seriousness back in Washington.

    payer dollars, but by money raised from donors. The 2016 inauguration of
    Trump had a fund of $250,000,000 for that. How much they actually spent
    is a dark secret.

    He helped the party do some sorting. Time will tell, but I doubt that voters will stand behind obstructionists (Romney/Mcconnell) or hypocrites (Graham/Mukowsky) in upcoming elections.
