I completely agree. There should be a maximum age for public office and it should be less than 60. Public office was never intended to be a life-long career.

    Hello Ron,

It's not funny... There's soooooooo many people who are too I>old and or
sick and shouldn't be in office.

I completely agree. There should be a maximum age for public office and it
should be less than 60. Public office was never intended to be a life-long
    career.

The most dangerous thing we do, every day, is drive a car.
At age 16 is when most folks in this country begin, and never
lose their privileges until the day they die.

Since most folks are responsible enough to drive at age 16,
then why not lower the voting age so as to make things fair?

Some states allow folks to start driving a car at age 15.
Allowing them to vote at the same age should be a no brainer.

We should also lower the drinking age to match the driving age.
I mean, these kids are the future of our country!
Sober enough to drive, mature enough to drink!

How odd our society insists youngsters have to wait until age 21
to be able to legally drink alcohol. An army of teetotallers. That
is what we have. Old enough at age 18 to sign up for the military
and die for our country. But too young to have a drink. What a sick
    and morbid society we are!

This mercenary army of teetotallers is what will save us. Or so
we have been told. Of course, I do not believe a word of it. But
no matter. We are all going to hell in a handbasket anyway. So
might as well enjoy the ride while getting there.

In fact, why have a minimum age at all? The only thing one
has to do in order to vote is to show up. Or vote by mail.
Can't read? No problem. Intellectually challenged? No problem.
Makes no difference who or what you are. As long as the box
is checked, that's all that really matters.

People who are blind can vote, but only if they are 18+ uears old?
People who are senile can vote, but only if they are 18+ years old?
People who are deaf/dumb/blind can vote, but only if they are 18+
years old? Clearly, that makes no sense. Far better to redefine all
as able to vote, regardless of age.

There is no age limit as to how old a politician can be.
Nor should there be any such limit. The US Constitution does
place a minimum age for representative, senator, and president.
    And no term limits, either.

22nd amendment only limits a president to the number of consecutive
terms he/she can serve, not the number of terms. That is why Trump
could take some time off, then begin another first term in 2024.

    Think about it.
