Today Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that he was lifting all COVID restrictions in the state. Mask mandate, occupancy limits, everything.

I guess now we'll get to see how the COVID situation looks without them. I'm not optimistic.

    Interesting! Please let us know!

I'm one of those that is not convinced that we need masks 100% of the
    time...

I'm not, either. I rarely if ever wear one while I'm at home. But then again, we're very strict about who comes and goes, and if somebody who doesn't live here is here, we all wear masks. I go for bike rides, and for the most part don't wear a mask then because I rarely interact with people. But I take a
mask along with me for those unexpected times when I do. And of course I
don't wear one while I sleep.

The rules never said 100% of the time. Just something more than 0% of the
time. And some people couldn't handle that. From his public statements,
Abbott seems to think that Texans will continue wearing masks responsibly without being explicitly told to do so. I do not have as much faith in my fellow Texans, specifically because many of them are "those that [are] not convinced that we need masks 100% of the time."

We have to wear them at work when we aren't sitting down (I work at a
public school). Some of the businesses require them of patrons, and of
course I wear one when required. Other times I don't.

Which is, by definition, not 100% of the time.
