    Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) announced a few days ago that he was considering
    leaving Congress to accept a media position with NewsMax.

    Oh, but if it were only that simple.

    It turns out that Gaetz is under investigation by the DOJ as part of a child-trafficking probe. Oops.

    Gaetz, of course, maintains his innocence. At first he said that he was just giving some money to an 'ex-girlfriend' and that's what spawned the investigation.

    Oh, but if it were only that simple.

    Now Gaetz claims that a former DOJ official is engaging in organized crime to extort $25 million from Gaetz and his family, threatening to "smear his name" if they do not comply.

    And now you are telling me there is more?
