Have you ever received a phone call from a debt collector? A new
federal rule will allow debt collectors to target people online, too.
They now have permission to reach out to individuals via social media,
without even confirming if the person they are harassing owes money.
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is supposed to protect people
from financial harm and scams, but this new rule does the opposite.
