Insurrection? Depends on how you would look at what happened, I have heard from many politicians on that day, suggesting that *THIS* is not who we are, I disagree this is EXACTLY who we are. It could of been farburn down cities in a fit of unchecked rage. There is not one Conservative group or any such individual w/ Conservative valueHow about the January 6 insurrection?
behaves in such a way.
They caused property damage to the Capitol. It was an armed insurrection.

When protesters cause property damage to a Federal Building in Portland
or Seattle, because they are angry at the government, is that also considered an insurrection?

against civil authority or an established government."
So what the "protesters" did certainly could be seen as "insurrection". But you'll never hear that from the Lefties. Remember Lefties are
"Rules for thee, but not for me."

Hello Ron!
Webster defines "Insurrection" as "an act or instance of revolting against civil authority or an established government."How can you make such a sweeping judgment? Do you know all the "lefties"?

There was more than damage to government property. The insurrectionists' target was Congress, the federal government itself.

So was the target in Portland. Difference being that the building in question was the only part of the "federal government" that could be accessed without effort.

Did anyone enter the building in Portland, or was all of the damage external? Also, attacking some federal building in Portland is quite different than attacking Congress.

They tried. Seeing that things might get out of control, someone had the sense to baracade it. IIRC, they did manage to throw/propel things into it, but
I don't remember any reports of them being able to breech the baracade.

Apparently Whitmer has been hit with another case of "rules for thee
but not for me." Someone posted a photo, and then quickly took it down (but not quick enough) of her out in a crowded indoor gathering (bar or restaurant) with no distancing and no masks. She had to apologize
after a paper in Detroit got ahold of it and reporters started asking questions.
A quick Google search shows that a federal barricade did not keep them out, but a protester barricade kept the federal officers in. Why would they breach their own barricade?
