The Democrats in congress won't fund Trump's border barrier, primarily because it's his idea and his campaign promise. They claim a physical barrier isn't necessary and that the border can be controlled with
sensors and drones.
Well, since 2006 the government has spent well over a billion dollars
on sensors and drones along the border with Mexico, and in thirteen
years those sensors and drones haven't slowed the illegal infiltration
a bit. Several sections of walls have been built, and in those
sections of the border the illegal infiltration was reduced by 90
percent. There's a message there that even the densest Corruptocrat politician should be able to understand.
