• Texas election audit

From Jeff Thiele@1:387/26 to All on Friday, September 24, 2021 08:32:00
Apparently unaware of the results of the Arizona audit which showed no
evidence of election fraud, Trump is pressuring Texas governor Greg Abbott to conduct a similar audit in Texas. Abbott has reportedly shown approval of the idea.

Trump won Texas by over 600,000 votes.

    So here's my question:
If such an audit occurs and if, like the Arizona audit, it fails to uncover
any evidence of election fraud whatsoever, can we conclude that the recent spate of election laws passed by Texas Republicans were entirely unnecessary
at best and blatant voter suppression at worst?

    Hello Jeff,

Apparently unaware of the results of the Arizona audit which showed no evidence of election fraud, Trump is pressuring Texas governor Greg Abbott to
conduct a similar audit in Texas. Abbott has reportedly shown approval of the
    idea.

Why would the governor of Texas do a damfool thing like that?

Trump won Texas by over 600,000 votes.

Is Trump an idiot? Is the governor of Texas an idiot to do as
Trump requests? When is the last time a candidate who won a state
election asked for a recount? I cannot think of a single instance
in the entire history of the USA.

Horror the thought if it is found Biden actually won the election
in Texas, giving him an even wider margin of victory in the Electoral
    College.

O'Rourke is going to have a field day running for governor ...

    Nonsensical, yes.

As for the presidential election being by popular vote, it is and it isn't.
On the national level, it isn't, because of the electoral college. But on the state level, the level at which these audits are taking place, it is, in that the popular vote within the state determines the makeup of the state's electoral college delegates.

Reading this again, I see what you're getting at now. Yeah, any increase in
the number of Texas voters voting for Trump would not affect the election outcome in any way. I agree that it's nonsensnsical and also, as I mentioned, potentially counterproductive (from a Republican viewpoint) in that it could jeopardize the rationale for the recent voting law changes in Texas.

Instead of asking people why they won't vaccinate, liberals prefer to evaluate Trump-allegiance-by-county. Their minons go along with the ridiculous notion that Trump is the answer to everything.

In reality, Democrats/the media are avoiding questions like:

"Why did Democrats and the media previously reject the covid vaccine but now they embrace it and are even trying to enforce it?"

Could you imagine that question being thoroughly answered by a Democrat and/or the media? They would never be honest about it, no matter what.

I'd love for them to just say "Because we wanted to dimish all hopes of people getting their lives back to normal post-covid." If they would just say that, and say it loudly, then I bet a lot of people would start injecting the
    vaccine like crazy.

No, it's not unanswered. I don't know how many times we've been over this. Democrats did not tell anyone not to take the vaccine. Harris said she

"Rejecting" the vaccine based on an unapproved status is not the same as telling people not to take it once it is approved.

Republicans haven't told anyone not to take it once it's approved, but that's almost exactly what Democrats said.

Here's Chuck Schumer telling everyone not to trust the vaccine due to the election:

"Too much of the evidence points to the Trump administration pressuring the FDA to approve a vaccine by Election Day to boost the president's reelection campaign," he said in a statement. This raises serious safety concerns about politics, not science and public health, driving the decision making process."

But you're too insane to understand this from a bird's eye-view.

He's saying not to trust the vaccine until it's been approved, and not to
trust Trump to approve something that's not safe. "By Election Day" was key
to this statement. Whether or not Trump won or lost the election, after Election Day, Trump would no longer be tempted to do something stupid for political purposes. Since approval by Election Day would be too fast for a normal approval anyway, he wasn't telling people not to take the vaccine.

But you're too insane to understand this from a bird's eye-view.

    I understand it quite well.

Why is it again that most of the unvaccinated are conservatives? Because liberals told them last year not to trust the vaccine until it was properly approved?

The "pressure" that Trump put on the FDA is heresay. He put pressure on drug companies by investing in research (Operation Warp Speed.) Kamala trashed the vaccine, making it sound like it was a pile of garbage that Trump glued together. Biden "pressured" the FDA to release the vaccine to younger populations, and even now he's "pressuring" for them to release it to even younger (under 11) populations. What am I gonna say about that? "I don't trust Biden's vaccine so I won't let my kids take it until a Republican gets elected." <- That would be me immitating Kamala.
