• Activating A Message Area

From Daryl Stout@1:103/705 to Digital Man on Saturday, August 22, 2020 20:21:00
    Rob,

After setting a message area in a message board under
SCFG, is there a command line command that can be done,
without having to logon to the BBS to post a message to
    activate the area??

What does "activate" mean in this context?

Does a message need to be posted in the area before any
other posts (autopost or otherwise) are done in that area??

"files are set for the correct day and time" - what are you talking
    about?

I found the problem...a gray blonde moment on my part. I had two
words GOTO EXIT on the command line, and it was exiting before it
got to the jsexec command. :P

Shouldn't, but there have been times when some programs or utilities (e.g. smbutil) didn't behave well when the message base files were not already created (e.g. by SCFG).
