Does Synchronet automatically route mail for points to their hosts, or does that have to be specified somewhere?

Are you referring to netmail or echomail? EchoMail can't be routed, so I'll assume netmail. And you can't "route to a point" anyway, so I'm not really sure what you're asking. Once the netmail hits the boss node, it would just sit there waiting for the point to get it.

so I'm not really sure what you're asking. Once the netmail hits the
boss node, it would just sit there waiting for the point to get it.

i think what he's asking is if you have to specifically put something like

    Node: X:Y/X.ALL
    Route-To: X:Y/Z

in echocfg to route netmail for those points to that system or does sbbsecho automatically route netmail to the boss node...

IME, i've had to add X:Y/Z.ALL with the route-to when i've discovered netmail for some node's point coming through and sitting here... but things may have changed since the last time sestar was updated...

I've never heard of anyone needing to do that.

I don't recall making any change in that regard. I suppose it's possible there's some improvement needed there, but I just have never encountered the issue (or had it reported).

Yea, I have several downlinks points (for testing purpose) and they
received correctly . You must add as link at echocfg

I just have a problem with HotdogEd not receiving some netmails
correctly. But the rest of the programs like openxp, dbridge, etc ...
    work fine

I don't have additional route rule for netmails and they work fine.

Ragnarok> I don't have additional route rule for netmails and they work fine.

to be clear, i'm speaking of routing other nodes' points' mail to toward those nodes for them to deliver...

for example: A:B/C writes a netmail to X:Y/Z.23 and sends it *routed*...

the question is what will my system do as an intermediate system along that route... if i have a direct link with X:Y/Z, then that point mail should be shunted to X:Y/Z... otherwise, it should follow the routing i have in
place for X:Y/Z and be sent to the next intermediate system for further routing or delivery to X:Y/Z...

I'm wondering about outbound points. I have a 1:all rule that should crash mail to any unlisted nodes, but had pointmail sitting in my outbound. I thought my rule would have crashed the bossnode, but it looked like it
    didn't.
