• Where is node status output/display configured?

From Alpha@1:103/705 to All on Thursday, August 26, 2021 12:48:37
So I think when a user action is taken, it's printed to all connected users' screens, yes? How would I control the X/Y location (and color)

I see in the default command shell:

    # Update node status
    node_action node_main
    async

But where can I fiddle with text color, positioning? Maybe in text.dat? Not sure which one tho...

Why? The node status seems to "interrupt" users between menus, e.g. displays with a pause, clears the screen, etc. I plan to use SBB's display codes to show the status text (lock it to an X:Y position), maybe display for 3 seconds, clear it, then display the next one, etc., without re-loading whatever menu the user is using. That's the plan, anyway!

Any help much appreciated, in terms of where that display is controlled from :)

Should have searched for 5 more minute before posting, lol:

    "\1_\1w\1hNode %2d: \1g%s\1n\1g logged off\r\n\1n" 550 NodeLoggedOff
    "\1_\1w\1hNode %2d: \1g%s\1n\1g logged on %s\r\n\1n" 551 NodeLoggedOnAtNbps

    Sorry about that.

Just a reply to my reply (lol) in case anyone else is trying to figure this out down the line, from the synchronet wiki on text.dat:

"For security reasons, text.dat lines that contain %-specifiers may not also include @-codes."

So, method of placement would not work via text.dat, as those contain specifiers...

I'm not sure what you mean by "user action" in this context. Please clarify.
