Apologies to those who sent email or posted messages to me here in the past seven months. I know there were quite a few, but I've reset my message pointers to skip right over that period and avoid the backlog.

I was leaving my BBS email on the server so I'd have fodder for testing things. Apparently I forgot to tell my email client to start picking up mail again after I walked away. My oldest unread message was from April 21, 2021, so I guess that's how long I've been gone.

The hiatus wasn't planned. I just logged off one day and didn't get around to coming back. When I found some (very rare) spare time, I had to choose between, say, sleeping, watching TV, or tinkering with one of several hobbies. For a number of reasons, BBSing kept getting pushed off to "maybe later". Mostly I didn't want to jump into conversations and then abandon them for a week or a month, or start projects I didn't have time to finish. Felt a bit guilty about it, for what it's worth.

Anyway, things are less crazy around here now, and I have a little more time to myself. With any luck I'll be able to stick around and return to my usual schedule.

I hope you're all doing well and that I'll see most of the same names around here, maybe some new ones.

I'll now ask "What did I miss?" although I suspect the answer is "More of the same."

Very extremely, low minor, ha, but I noticed you changed ports and was wondering if that's why my connection to your tetris server went down. Is there anything I should put in that server.ini file like a port or something?

I don't recall changing any port assignments - can you clarify? I may be forgetting something from April or earlier. It's all a blur.

My JSON-DB server appears to still be on 10088 for what it's worth.

I don't recall that I ever hosted a Synchronetris database for public use, but I may have forgotten. It's turned off at the moment, but I can enable it if people are using it.

Welcome back... kind of the king of "later" myself... free time and
motivation don't always align.

Yeah, I can't remember exactly why, but I was having an issue with it bombing out or something on my local host. A while back you offered and I accepted and just pointed it towards your server. It was working fine for a while, we hadn't gone in for a bit and then tried a few weeks ago and realized it was down.
