While it is possible to run sbbs on different ports for different system emulation (such as PETSCII 40 and 80 column), I would like to see a menu system when the user creates an account, they can select the sort of computer they're using. These can be setup in scfgCode: TRS80Description: TRS80 and similar 40 columnsCode: BBCDescription: BBC Micro ComputersCode: SPEKKYDescription: ZX Spectrum SystemsEtc, user selects the number and sbbs will load menus containing the said name such as chat-TRS80.asc or xtrnMAIN-SPEKKY.ascThe community familiar which each system could provide generic menus that'll work on each system.Seems like a lot of work, but I think it may be worth it to get some older systems back online.
