I just did a fresh install of SBBS and am having several issues. I can't get the backbone.na file to import the message areas. I can't get trmb.na to import it's message areas. but most importantly, I am unable to get SCFG or ECHOCFG to run. They open up with 2 lines of text and just sit there. They opened up originally, but haven't since the 1st time. BTW, it is version 3.20a

I just did a fresh install of SBBS and am having several issues. I can't get the backbone.na file to import the message areas.

    What's the error message?

    I can't get trmb.na to import it's message areas.

    What's the error message?

but most importantly, I am unable to get SCFG or
ECHOCFG to run. They open up with 2 lines of text and just sit there.

Can you elaborate or paste the example output? There have been recent changes to the console library used by those utils. Maybe try updating to the latest? Or run with the "-id" option to run in stdio/door mode?

    They
opened up originally, but haven't since the 1st time. BTW, it is version 3.20a

v3.20a is not a release. That is the current development build, which changes daily. Have you updated/rebuilt today?

You didn't say - what OS is his built/running on?

All of this works for me when I use the latest pull from git on Linux.
Are you running through xwindows or console or...? You really didn't
give any details to go on. Not even which OS you're using, where you
got your backbone.na, the steps you took.
There's been a lot of development over the last couple of days so you
could have grabbed your copy at a bad time, try updating, recompile and
    give it another go.

Actually, the -id and -iA options both worked. -iA gave me the Ansi screen I was looking for. However, the nodelist is still sitting in inbound not processed.

It is running on ubuntu 22.04 GUI desktop VirtualBox
    VM on Ubuntu 22.04 Server.

And the none of the other '-i' option flags work (for scfg and echocfg)? They all exhibit the same behavior?

Are you running them from a command prompt in terminal, and if so, which one?
Actually, the -id and -iA options both worked. -iA gave me the Ansi screen I was looking for.

The '-ic' (curses mode) option doesn't work? I've asked a couple of times now and you haven't answered: what terminal you're using to run scfg and echocfg?

However, the nodelist is still sitting in inbound not processed.

What are "processing" are you expecting to happen with a nodelist?

I haven't tried any other -i options since I found the one I wanted to use. The processing I am expecting is for the nodelist to be moved out of the inbound directory and into a file area as other incoming files are doing. I just don't see it happening. Also, I set up "Handler" and "HandlerArg", but they aren't doing anything and I get the error message "Unable to parse....". I'm sure I will figure it out, but not yet.

That won't happen unless there's a .tic file received associated with the nodelist and you have TickIT configured to do that (move files to file areas/filebases received via FTN).

Also, I set up "Handler" and "HandlerArg", but
they aren't doing anything and I get the error message "Unable to parse....". I'm sure I will figure it out, but not yet.

    That's for a different purpose.
