  • Error: 550 5.7.368

    In coming emails to my mail server are giving this error from cvs.synchro.net. What can I do to resolve this?

    Error Details

    Error: 550 5.7.368 Remote server returned authentication required to relay -> 553 Relaying through this server requires authentication. Please authenticate before sending.

    I think you missed at step (step #2) from the "How-to" here: https://wiki.synchro.net/howto:vert_mx

    So... I did not have a forwarding alias set-up for geo.synchro.net. Assuming that's what you need, I'll setup a forwarding alias to your TCP port 587. That should fix that.

    Ahhh...I guess I assumed that when I asked you to change it from "ansun.synchro.net" to "geo.synchro.net" that the mail exchange services would come along with it. I guess that's what I get for assuming.
