  • Downloading blank body messages with pop3 is not possible using apple

    When a sysop is paged, an email is sent to the sysop, however this message has no body which causes apple products to ignore / not display those messages in the inbox.

    Could we find a fix to this issue please, so that emails with a blank body when downloaded by an apple device are able to be displayed?

    Cool. And you might've noticed, the correct fix was not to add a body to the "<user> paged you to chat .." notification message. We actually had a POP3 protocol violation in the mail server and adding a body text to that one notification would've only worked-around the issue for that one case and not resolve the root-cause.     Interestingly, as soon as I ran the latest code, I got about 1500 messages, all unread in my inbox, which is odd as most of the messages were already read on sbbs.

    Not to worry though as iOS has an option to mark all messages as "read" which I did.
