Would be pretty cool if the Sync Control Panel > Web Server > had a security tab that worked like the control panel sec tab. Would like to ban bots that get X amount of 404s in X amount of seconds. They tend to clog up the logs a ton. Just my 2�.

my system gets killed by bots and hack attempts from china and other places. I am going to do some reading on java and see if I can write a script that takes the IP from the hack attempt and adds it to the ban ip list.
For Synchronet? You might want to look at JavaScript rather than Java.
