Howdy All, hope all is well.

I'm just going to drop this here to start so that Nick can be aware of the desire/proposal without having to directly bother him for a response if it's not something he needs to be involved with at this time, and Dallas, I will send you an email to this end as well that I can follow up with details if needed/desired.

With some changes I've heard through the grapevine, I need to float this now even though it wasn't quite ready for proposal to hopefully avoid the potential for several months of legwork getting swepped up, away, or disregarded by otherwise good intentions.

Long story short, I'm looking for blessing to restart net 134 with (currently) 9 nodes, 8 of which do not exist in 342. This is related to various machinations I have of ways to potentially start regenerating interest/utility in a modern Fidonet. Getting it to this point has taken a fair bit of legwork/diplomacy. I'm hoping that other changes I've heard about can move forward in a way that might allow 342 to eventually revitalize and generate interest in the Edmonton area, and have no desire to force anyone to change addresses if things are currently happy and working for them.

Anyways, thoughts on allowing us to pull the trigger on this?

The (re)creation of a net is not something the ZC is involved with; Regional matters are handled by (surprise) the RC!

And I'm not sure that blasting this all across Zone 1 is entirely necessary. Further discussion will happen in netmail.
