• Policy Question - Netmail

From Eric Renfro@1:135/371 to All on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 21:40:31
    Heya all, curious question.

Trying to recall, and my memory keeps telling me, part of the process of being on FidoNet entails a valid and functional Netmail setup, especially initially before anything else.

Is this correct and this is and has been part of the Fidonet policy and I'm remembering correctly?

    Thanks,

A mailer that can do a basic exchange of Netmail is generally expected.

Its interesting - I receive applications from my website from some guy to join Fido, I try to reply to the email and it bounces with an invalid domain.

Hey, if you can't give me a valid email, I start to have some doubts about the mailer.

I do have someone who polls here with "229/9999". I made up a packet, he picked it up, no reply, yet he polls here non-stop anyway.
