But, it isn't fair to single out just two people for an attitude that so very many people share! It appears to be a fairly common theme throughout Fidonet, shitting on the new guy. and reasonable. At the worst its because they seem to believe that the FTSC conjures up new standards or enforces them. It does neither and
many people don't get this.

Last year I got carded buying booze... and *nobody* at this one place I work at knows my real age, they just assume I'm in my twenties.
Then, when I went to buy some generic NyQuil recently, I got carded
again, even though I have a salt and pepper beard, moustache, and hair.
If being over 60 doesn't qualify me, nothing will.

Where I live, its absolutely disgusting how many pot-shops there are.
Its more tacky than porn shops, cheque-cashing joints or weird run-down plazas of weird convenience stores, pawn shops and jewelery nobody buys.
