Hi,

Anyone have a similar experience or know of any issues using the FTP server in A49? Even while logging in with my user account, I could sometimes get to /Uploads, but in all cases, a 'ls' would close the data connection.

I tried this:
configure server for anonymous
configure a filearea names tmpup
setting with anonymous set to yes and create dir done by Mystic!
login with local FTP client,
change to tmpup
mput <filename> -> error bad sequence of commands

When I try it with non-anonymous setup, and login with test user with normal user settings + correct sec levels configured I am able to upload files ....

Hopes this helps, oh I am on a48 :)

What host did you use for this test? If it works there, what were your FTP service settings? Passive mode enabled/ and/or forced? Any relevant firewall rules other than TCP/21?

What host did you use for this test? If it works there, what were your FTP service settings? Passive mode enabled/ and/or forced? Any

Sorry for the inquisition - this has me perplexed.

It was a setup on my local network. The client was just a linux box, terminal and ftp command, like ftp ip <port>

I would suggest to try this first to make sure you have it working locally, then move forward to a remote situation.

If I have time I will have a look at filezilla this weekend.
