    Yes. That's exactly why new users to *my* BBS aren't allowed posting privileges until I've validated them after reading their feedback email. Plus, they have to enter a randomly generated code at login.

    There are other sysops out there, on the other hand, that like to offer "free unlimited access on first login with no feedback required".

    Spammers love boards like that.

    I'm assuming these spammers are using a BBS's Web-frontend to spam any forms they find via scripts. And someone's web-frontend allows posting without being logged in -- which is no bueno.

    The same board allowed a bunch of drug spam into Dove-Net as well.
