Good News And Bad News

Good news and bad news in the square dance world.
First, the Good News.
The e-Edition for the January, 2021 issue of The Modern Square, was
released on Dec. 16, 2020...and the print edition was sent to the
printer (they did receive it). Hopefully, it'll be in subscribers
mailboxes by Dec. 31. There will be no mail delivery on Dec. 25 or
Jan. 1. I will start work on the February, 2021 issue on Jan. 5,
2021.
Tragically, there is Bad News:
Long time national caller, Jerry Story, passed away late last night.
He had experienced numerous health issues in recent years, and had
at least 2 heart attacks between Thanksgiving and last week. His
calling partner, Tony Oxendine, as well as Jerry's wife and kids,
are understandably devastated by Jerry's death.
I have not heard of funeral arrangements at this time...but if you
are on Facebook, you likely will see it in the pages of the National
Square Dance Convention, and the 70th National Square Dance Convention.
Our condolences, thoughts, and prayers to the family and friends, of
Jerry Story. He joins Marshall Flippo and numerous others in The
Eternal Square...he will be sorely missed.
